One is a new group
for those wishing to work
through textile projects
without the restraints of
a set programme, a time
limit or an examination
certificate. They will
have some knowledge of
textile techniques and
will have attended
textile classes in the
past. The group will
provide guidance and
incentives to create (and
finish!) individual
projects to a high
standard either just for
their own pleasure, to
sell or to enter
competitions or
exhibitions. |

| What
happens at the meetings? Members will
begin in September coming
with a clear idea of the
theme they wish to
pursue. They should bring
in as much source
material as possible, and
continue to collect this
throughout the course.
In
Sept, Oct, and Nov
sessions, tuition and
exercises will be given
in design to enable
members to visually
research and explore
their chosen theme
through sketch books.
(Basically artwork from
Sep – Nov.)
Feb.
session will be working
on textile samples to
suit each member.
March,
April and May. At this
stage members will be
working though more
textile samples and
experiments or starting
their chosen projects in
their own time and bring
it to each session for
help and advice through
critique.
